Let's keep this simple. I was born in Palermo in 1985. There are a few Palermos around the world, so, just to avoid confusion, let’s clarify: it’s the original one, in Sicily. Ah! And my birthday is on the 2nd of August, in case you want to know (I doubt it, but you never know). But, as I said, let’s keep it simple.
At 18, I went to study at the University of Florence and earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science in 2007. Then I moved to Barcelona, where I completed a master’s degree in Political Communication at the Institute of Political and Social Sciences (ICPS) in 2009. By that time, although those fields were still interesting, it was clear they weren’t exactly my passion.
For years, what I loved most had been movies. Watching them. Talking about them. Reading about them. And learning how they were made. So it was time to enroll at Bande à Part Film School. Still in Barcelona. I like it.
After countless projects that would be considered job if it wans't for the lack of money in exchange for it, I eventually started working as a cinematographer, in commercials, fashion films, music videos, short films and a couple feature films.
Starting from 2019 I've been also working as an all-around, all-terrain filmmaker, in charge of all the different phases of the video projects: creativity, filming, editing, color correction and some 2D motion graphics. I've been responsible of the audiovisual content of BCN3D, one of the leading developers and manufacturers of 3D printers worldwide, and I've been working at the production company Mun Films.
So, here’s my contact, in case you want to do things like writing to me or calling me, whether it’s for projects, collaborations, or just a drink at a bar. We can have long conversations in English, Spanish, Catalan, or Italian. But feel free to try other languages too… we’ll see how it goes!
